　　Aftermyelementaryandjuniorhighschooleducationatmyhometown,IwentonmyseniorhighschooleducationatapublicvocationaltechnicalhighschoolattheneighboringcountyFangshan.CoursesIhavetakenthereinclude:mechanicalstructure,aliedmechanicaldynamics,materialstrength,heattreatmentanalysis,andelectricalengineering.Ialsohadpracticecoursesonlathework,benchwork,casting,engineeringdrawing,andelectronictelevisionrepairskill.Aftergraduationfromthistechnicalschool,IfoundajobattheEvergreenTrafficCorp.WhenIhadworkedoneyearinmechanicaldesignandheattreatmentanalysis,IwasadmittedtotheComputerScienceDepartmentofBeijingItituteofTechnologies.

　　Computerscienceeducationwasanexteionofmypursuitinelectronicknowledge,ithadledmeintotheworldofaliedelectronics.CoursesIhadtakenare:Calculus,ComputerProgramming(FORTRAN,COBOL,AEMBLY,andBASIC),Computerarchitecture,algorithm,maintenance,systemanalysis,andsomerelatedcoursesinAccounting,Statistics,Operatingresearch,Digitalvalueanalysis.

　　Begiingatthesecondyearofcollege,IparticipatedinaworkstudyprogramandwasaignedtothecomputercenterofFarEastTextileCorp.aight-shiftcomputeroperator,ThecomputersIdealtwithwereCDC3300MSOSandIBM370-115DOS/Vystem.ThemajorworkIhaddonewasthesystemtraferenceofCDC3300:MSOStoIBM370-115DOS/VS.

　　In1989,IwasemployedbyChinaAutomobileCorp.asacomputerprogrammer,andwasinformedtoworkonthefirstofJune.

　　Forthefirstsixmonthsofmyservice,IwasinchargeoftheIBM4331;DOS/VSESystemOperation,andlaterondealtwithpersoel/payrollandfinancingsystemprogrammingworks.Inthesecondyear,Iwaromotedtobeasystemanalystforpersoel/payrollsystem.Inanattempttoupgradetheefficiencyofcomputerdataproceandtosimplifyusersoperatingprocedures,Iredesignedthewholeworkingsys

temandIsuccefullytraferredaBatchoperationfromorientedsystemtoon-linesystem.Inthethirdyear,Ientfivemonthsinthedevelopingofsuystemoffinancing-accounting.NosoonerhadIfinishedthatsystemthanIwasreaignedasaSuystemProgrammerinchargeofDOS/VSE,CICS,andVTAM.AtthatpositionIhavefullreoibilityforaffairsoftechnicaltraition,systemdevelopment,recruittraining,andnetworkcommunicatio.

　　Withtheelaeoftimeandtheaccumulationofexperiences,Iamnowfamiliarwithallofthepopularcomputerlanguages:FORTRAN,COBOL,AEMBLY,andBASIC.Otherthantheselanguages,Ihavealsolearnedandpracticedilaing,designing,andanalyzingofthefollowingcomputeralicatio:DL/1,DataBase,On-line(CICS,BMS),DataCommunicatioetwork(ACF/VTAM/NCP),VM,DOS/VSEOperatingSystem:Persoel/Payroll,AccountingAlicatioystemandetc..FortheseachievementsIoweagreatdealtoChinaInformationAociatioinceIhavetakenalmosteverytrainingcoursetheyhaveoffered.

　　Withtheever-increasinglevelofmywork,Iamfeelingstronglythatthetheoreticalstudyandactualpracticeareequallyimportantanddependentoneachother.ThoughIpersonallypoemanyyearsofexperiencesinactualpractices,thereisalwayeedformetoextendmyexistingtheoreticalbasisforfutureresearch.Myloveforcomputersciencesandmyinquisitivenehadpushedmetoalyforyourgraduateschooladmiion,andIhavedecided.shouldIbeacceptedbyyou,Iwillconcentrateonthefieldofnet-work-data-communication,thenmakeapeakthroughonmycurrentwaysofthinkingincomputerrelatedresearchanddevelopment.Finally,IexpectthatI,myself,asonememberoftoday"sworldofcomputerdomain,Ishouldstrivetooffermybestprofeionalcomputerservicetooursociety.
